This weekend, I went on a ski trip with some friends to the frozen wilderness of West Virginia. I didn't actually end up skiing, since the snow was blowing sideways, I was still pretty weak from the ravages of flu, and I'd never skied before...not ideal conditions for attempting a first time. But I did go on a day hike to this lovely spot: Blackwater Falls. Oh my God, was it cold. The road to the park had signs posted saying "4x4 or snow chains required," and they weren't kidding!

WAIT!!!
When were you at black water falls? Were you in a group with an Englishman wearing a Soviet hat?

I've got a billion of these...when they fell, did they rise up?

It was quite an odd group. Older people if I remember correctly. Some lady shouted "good morning adventurers!" to me and my GF, and the older gentleman in front asked how the falls were. The Englishman had a nice camera.

Here's a panorama I took on my iPotato. No picture you take of the falls will do it justice. You really need to go and see 60ft of water falling and turning into snow/ice on the way down.
